And might you consider adding the word ‘secular’ just before ‘world’?
Or possibly even ‘secular science establishment’ to get a bit more precise than ‘world’?

I’m glad you liked the ebook! Although black holes cannot be directly observed, there’s a lot of evidence for their existence. Some people think that black holes are just another idea thought up to salvage evolutionary theories. However, black holes really have nothing to do with evolution or the big bang. I recommend you check out Dr. Danny Faulkner’s DVD ‘Things that go Bump in the Night’ for more information. We talked about it a little in our interview with him.

The file “The Big Bang vs. Science” was a good introduction. I have only recently been studying astronomy; there is so much to learn. One question I had is: are ‘black holes’ real or rather, does anyone know they exist/don’t exist?

Comment on Bill Nye the Propaganda Guy? by felnito g http://creationastronomynow.com/bill-nye-the-propaganda-guy/#comment-12 Thu, 06 Feb 2014 14:33:44 +0000 http://creationastronomynow.com/?p=505#comment-12 In connection with the debate between Nye and Ham. I am a Catholic and I believe the Bible. I also read some of the Church approved documented visions by certain holy people. In particular, The Mystical City of God written by Mary Agreda under the guidance of God. In this book it was revealed to her the creation of the world and the heavens. There are many things in the Bible that need not be interpreted literally like the Creation. I do believe that God created everything. I also read St Thomas Aquinas Summa Theologica specifically about the qualities of God. God as explained by Aquinas is not constrained by time or space. God does not need to act in a sequential manner (in time) as men do. He can do many things simultaneously in one single act. God can, in a single act, create everything and every event. God does not create things “in time” as men would understand it. Since man acts ‘in time”, ie, sequentially as time passes by, man cannot readily understand how God operates without being constrained by time. God, in His infinite power, can create in one single instant everything – past, present, future. Everything is PRESENT before God – what happened before, what is present, what will happen in the future including all the infinite possibilities of events. God does not need to wait for tomorrow in order to act or create events that will happen tomorrow. He has already created all the events for tomorrow even before the beginning of time (“more properly, from all eternity”).

A very crude analogy is this: a movie maker that somehow was able to create “in an instant” a full-length action film. A film consists of frames with a time duration of say, 1 millisecond each frame. If the frames are “rolled” fast enough there is the perception of motion. Each frame that we see in that brief moment in time (1 millisecond) is what we are conscious of at that particular moment. We may call this frame as the “present”. The whole film is the whole of “creation”. The whole film may be of 2 hours in duration. What we have seen already (say, 15 minutes of the film have elapsed) is what we may call the “past”. The remaining portion of the film that we yet have to see is what we may call the “future”. But the whole film is already there existing ready to be “shown”. The movie maker need not create a frame at a time to show the film to movie goers. He created the film in one single instant.

God, in His infinite power, can create the world, the sun, animals, plants, seas, sky, and man in one single act. He does not need to wait for the “next day” to create the next creatures or things. Also, God need not rest after the creation. The account of the creation cannot simply be interpreted literally. Based on Summa Theologica and the revelations to Mary Agreda, God created everything in one single act – past, present, future.
